Riding for Restoration promotes a better world!

Our Mission

By biking from Toronto to St. John's, Newfoundland, we hope to raise awareness and funds for a reforestation project on Hill Island. Money raised will go towards planting pitch pine trees at an old quarry site where they once stood. A fence will also be built to protect the seedlings from an overabundant deer population. The island is in the Thousand Islands portion of the St. Lawrence River.

We will be riding in the summer of 2013, from June 22 to mid-August.

About Us

We are a group of students who are passionate about the environment. We are raising funds for an ecological restoration project by biking along the St. Lawrence River. Stephanie is an environmental journalist studying at Sheridan College. Nadine, Phaedra and Selena are ecological restoration students at Fleming College/Trent University. Together we can make a difference!
